NO AGE PROJECT
We appeared in the January issue of Vogue!
In the article we present the concept of manager check-ups and also what makes us different.
Your clinic's motto is "to add not just years to your life, but life to your years." Longevity, a long and happy life, is a big theme that resonates with society. While life expectancy increases, the so-called healthspan, the length of time a person is healthy, decreases. How do you address this issue?
At Concierge Medicine, we take our motto very seriously. We understand that longevity alone is not enough unless it is associated with a high quality of life. We emphasize the importance of preventive healthcare through regular checkups, screening, and early interventions that detect and address health problems before they become serious. Our clinic tailors health plans to the specific needs and goals of each patient. This individual approach allows us to focus on optimizing health and well-being, not just treating illnesses. We believe that we also educate our patients and provide them with information that allows them to make conscious decisions that positively affect their health.
How would you introduce the so-called management examinations?
The management examination is a six-hour set of examinations by a well-coordinated team of doctors who work closely together. It includes extensive blood tests, body composition measurements, examinations by a general practitioner, ultrasound of the abdominal and thyroid cavities, comprehensive cardiology examinations including ultrasound of carotids and a stress test, eye examination, dermatology including skin cancer prevention, sleep apnea screening, as well as a lifestyle consultation. The output is both medical and lifestyle recommendations. The aim of this project is to provide preventive examinations once a year while offering maximum time savings to busy people, not just managers. The client mix has changed over the last year – there are more younger people and women, which pleases me. Foreigners come just for half a day spent with us, realizing that the quality is at least comparable, often higher than abroad.
You have recently expanded your services to include traditional Chinese medicine. How does it fit into the overall portfolio?
Our philosophy revolves around providing comprehensive and personal care, encompassing a holistic approach that not only addresses the consequences but mainly looks for the causes and promotes overall well-being. Traditional Chinese medicine, with its time-tested procedures and emphasis on balance and harmony, complements our existing services and allows us to offer a wider range of therapeutic options.
Some of your doctors also act as certified lifestyle coaches, which is not usual in the country.
We believe in the strength of a combination of medical expertise and lifestyle advice. In doing so, we provide care and guidance to our clients to achieve the best possible health. The integration of not only doctors as lifestyle coaches is an exceptional and valuable aspect of our clinic's approach. We see successful cases where it is this approach that helps significantly change people's lives for the better, and this makes us all happy at the clinic.
What exactly does your role as VIP Concierge Manager entail?
Basically, I function as the main contact person for our VIP clients and ensure that they receive the highest level of individual services and care. This includes understanding their needs, preferences, and expectations. Whether it's coordinating treatments or addressing special wishes, right from the start, I focus on building a relationship with my clients so that I can recommend a suitable personal physician to them because chemistry, trust, and also empathy are key factors in the doctor-patient connection. At the same time, I handle communication with corporate clients, and I am the supervisor of the management examination project. As part of my job, I also deal with problems or concerns of clients, unexpected situations, sometimes even securing medical care abroad, providing a second opinion by professionals from clinics around the world, and so on. Even though there are sometimes surprising and extraordinary demands, everyone at the clinic tries to personalize care to the maximum, not standardize it, and on the contrary, be creative.
