Kateřina Vacková – a doctor, a big supporter of prevention and the founder of the Loono project, which highlights its importance – visited our clinic a month ago. She underwent a management check-up there and shared the entire process and her impressions of it. Are you also thinking about undergoing our preventive medical examination? MANAGEMENT CHECK-UP
- I don’t have time
- I don’t know what I should get tested for
- I’m too young to have cancer, a heart attack or another serious illness
- The waiting times for the examination are long
- They don’t take…
These are the most common arguments I encounter in my office or at lectures when I ask why people don’t go for preventive check-ups.
That’s why I am a huge fan of everyone who tries to refute these arguments and show the right path, like us at Loono. I also support everyone who offers solutions straight away, like Wolfram A. Schleuter, MBL and Dr. Yanová at Concierge Medicine Europe.
Therefore, I could not resist the offer to try their management preventive check-up, during which I underwent blood tests & examinations/consultations in one morning with:
- a general practitioner, where we discussed my diet and sleep regimen in detail
- an ophthalmologist, including a detailed examination of the fundus of the eye and a diopter measurement
- a rehabilitation doctor
- a dermatologist
In addition, we also managed to have an inBody measurement (body composition analysis), an ultrasound of the abdomen, thyroid gland & carotid arteries (thumbs up to the excellent Dr. Bednářová from the ÚVN), and last but not least, the physical examination and ECG itself. Subsequently, Dr. Yanova gave me all the results in one report and advised me on what I could improve.
Therefore, I definitely recommend it to all “busy people” who appreciate the complexity of the examination and the time savings (even to handle a few emails), and are willing to pay for it.
